Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hit out at claims his team is going backwards.
Klopp has been targeted for some personal blame after his side drew twice at Anfield in four days, following some heavy rotation which saw 12 personnel in total for the two matches.
But he argued: “I told the boys, the game against West Brom started stiff but that doesn't mean it has to stay like this. It didn't work.
“We don't get it in a week and we don't lose it in a week, it's still there. We have to deliver, we have to play better. We have to be more fluent, you can't force that.
“It was the first time in a long time. Is this the only place where we think 'oh, are we back to the dark days or whatever?'
“It was just one game. Why should I be overly concerned that from this point on we'll play like we did against West Brom?
“Nine days ago we were flying, now I look into your eyes and see that obviously we have real problems. Everything is quick in this world."
