Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hopes that veteran James Milner is not seriously injured.
The versatile midfielder, who was playing at full-back, had to come off after 38 minutes during Liverpool's Carabao Cup tie with Manchester City.
The Reds went on to lose the game 3-2, with Klopp stating that Milner came off due to a hamstring issue.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, Klopp stated: "Millie felt something in the hamstring.
“We still hope it is not an injury, but we will see. He felt something, but after 30 years in the business he said, 'I don't think it's a lot' so we will see."
"We thought Trent was available but then he got ill, so that is what we have to wait for," Klopp said of right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who missed the game.
