Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed plans to buy a new centre-half.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, who is valued at around £50 million.

They go into this weekend's clash against Crystal Palace with injury doubts over defenders Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan.

And Klopp said today: "It would make sense if we signed a centre-back this summer - we have had injury issues in defence this season."
