Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson admits NESV's completed takeover is a huge relief for his players.
After seeing the club hauled back from the brink of oblivion, he is relishing the chance to rebuild.
So too, he believes, are the players who have lived through the shadow of court cases, the threat of administration and even a nine-point deduction.
As Hodgson admitted: "You live through good periods, you live through bad ones, but there is no doubt a cloud has been lifted off the football club today.
"There's no doubt now the players can get on with playing football, with no questions to answer and maybe no fears.
"You don't know how much the fear of administration has affected them, but I have sensed it a little bit. We know we have a lot of work to do and it's the start of a job for me.
"I knew it would be difficult when I first arrived. I have always known there is a major job to do - and hopefully that will be a bit easier with the new owners and much less financial problems.
"You cannot deny the previous owners were very unpopular with lots of people at this club, especially the fans.
"They saw them as dragging this club back by not releasing money the club was earning through commercial activities. Hopefully now that will all change."
