Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish won't rule out spending again in January.

The Reds host Manchester City this weekend.

"We're looking to progress and build something that's going to last for a long time and I think we're moving in the right direction," said Dalglish.

"We keep saying that we are happy with the strength we have got now.

"We said after the transfer deadline had finished that we were happy with the business that we have done.

"Whether we have got business to do, it remains to be seen, but the quality in the squad is very good."
