Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez believes Fernando Torres will be fit for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Barnsley.

The Spanish star picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty in a friendly against France last Wednesday.

"Maybe Fernando will be available for the weekend against Barnsley," Reds boss Rafa Benitez told his club's website. "We will have to see.

"We have time now and the physios are working really hard with him. He is very optimistic so I think he could be available for the weekend."
