Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admits he loathed the outspoken ways of Jose Mourinho when the Special One was in charge of Chelsea.

He said: "I will say that Chelsea was a fantastic club before and it is a fantastic club now. I respect the club but maybe I didn't like the style of Mourinho.

"If people say things against Liverpool, I'll speak out. I don't like the style of management which criticises other teams. I prefer to show respect.

"What I will say is Claudio Ranieri did a great job in signing players and then Mourinho did a good job in winning trophies."
