Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is being linked with a shock move to Liverpool.
Vidic left United last summer for Inter Milan.
The Daily Express says the Serbian defender is set to leave the San Siro at the end of the season, after Roberto Mancini snapped up Brazilian defender Felipe from Parma as a replacement.
The 33-year-old is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League and Brendan Rodgers would be open to adding more depth to his back-line.
It is thought that Besiktas are also interested in his signature - and the Reds might struggle to convince Vidic, very much a United man, to join Liverpool.
