Liverpool and Arsenal will both miss out on their target Max Meyer who has 'agreed terms' with Hoffenheim, according to German newspaper Leipziger Volkszeitung.
Hoffenheim came third in the recently finished Bundesliga campaign, behind Meyer's current club Schalke 04, and thus qualified for the Champions League.
This was enough to persuade the midfielder to join Julian Nagelsmann's men as his contract with Schalke comes to an end.
Bild has previously reported that Meyer was eager to move to Arsenal in the summer but their failure to reach Champions League made the 22-year-old give up on this idea.
