Liverpool and Barcelona are at deadlock - again - over a fee for Philippe Coutinho.
Barca, it has emerged, accept they have a "moral obligation" to push Liverpool to sell Coutinho after the player risked his relationship with the club and fans by slapping in a transfer request a fortnight ago.
The latest, reports Diario Sport, is Barca hope to convince Liverpool to sell by offering a cash-plus-players deal for the Brazil international, with the three players on the table being Arda Turan, Andre Gomes and Rafinha, who is currently injured.
However, Reds boss Jurgen Kloppp has already rejected the proposal - and made a counter suggestion of Sergi Roberto and Ivan Rakitic plus cash for Coutinho.
But Barca, with their squad building in crisis, have insisted they cannot afford to lose either player at this stage in the summer market.
A Barca delegation is on Merseyside today hoping to find a breakthrough with Liverpool officials.
