Manchester United have informed Javier Hernandez he can leave.
The Daily Star Sunday says Hernandez has undergone an operation after breaking his collarbone and is recovering in Houston, Texas.
United feared the Mexican striker would be ruled out for up to eight weeks and unable to leave Old Trafford this summer.
But Hernandez has been told he will be fit again in a month's time and United will press ahead with plans to ship him out.
They will consider bids in the region of £8m and Liverpool could now revive their interest in the 27-year-old.
