Liverpool ace Wijnaldum: Attacking Oranje role great for me

Liverpool ace Gini Wijnaldum admits he's enjoyed his attacking role with Holland this season.

Pushed further forward by Oranje coach Ronald Koeman, Wijnaldum finished their successful Euros qualifying campaign as top scorer with eight goals.

The midfielder explained, "If I look purely at the Oranje: I have never played like this.

"The national coach was immediately clear when he started. That I would play as his number 10. He saw that well, haha!"

Wijnaldum also had a word for Lyon ace Memphis Depay after his serious knee injury.

"Tearing off a cruciate ligament is the worst thing that can happen to a football player in terms of injury," he added. "This is really awful for Memphis. He is so important to us at Oranje, he is so involved with his fellow players."
