Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho has pulled back from the prospect of moving to Barcelona.

Don Balon says Coutinho has been put off by Sunday's referendum events and the independence chaos.

The Brazil international has concerns about the future of Barca and which competition it would compete in should Catalonia split from Spain.

Indeed, so much so that Coutinho's minders have now made contact with Real Madrid about their interest in taking him on next summer.

Coutinho was eager to join Barca in August, though the Catalans failed to strike terms with a stubborn Liverpool board over a fee.
