Fabio Liverani is set to leave Italian Serie A club Palermo for Major League Soccer according to reports.

sportal.tv Italia suggests that the 34-year old midfielder has mutually terminated his Rosanero contract with chairman Maurizio Zamparini and could be on the way to either New York Red Bulls or New England Revolution.

Liverani has had an extensive career in his homeland, most notably with Lazio and Fiorentina, where he was capped three times by the Italian national team.
