Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli is wanted at Barcelona.

El Confidencial says should Luis Enrique leave when his deal expires in June, Lionel Messi would like Sampaoli to succeed him.

Indeed, Messi pushed for Sampaoli ahead of Enrique when Tata Martino was sacked and remains a big fan of his fellow Argentine.

Sampaoli is in his first season in Europe and has impressed in charge of Sevilla.

Messi has spoken highly of the coach to his Barca teammates and many are now convinced he's the right choice to succeed Lucho in 2017.
