Linked with Liverpool, Ajaccio's Ochoa eyes Premier League

Guillermo Ochoa has made the clearest indication yet that he is set to leave French club AC Ajaccio this summer.

The 28-year old Mexico national team goalkeeper is out of contract at the end of the season and has suggested that he could be on his way out the exit door of the Corsican club.

Ochoa's performances over the past few years in Ligue 1 have turned the heads of French giants Marseille as well as current Premier League leaders Liverpool and the interest has prompted him to consider his future which could include a shift to England's top flight.

"I am evaluating several offers from different countries. I have been in France for three years and I like the way in which this league has evolved, but I would also want to try elsewhere," Ochoa said.

"At the moment I have no agreements with any team and I am willing to listen to all the proposals to make the best decision possible.

"My agent is dealing with everything and I do not exclude a future in Italy or England."

Liverpool already have Simon Mignolet in charge of the gloves at Anfield but with Napoli loanee Pepe Reina set to leave at the end of the season, there is a spot for competition up for grabs under Brendan Rodgers.
