Lille ace Salomon Kalou insists former Chelsea teammate John Terry is no racist.
Terry yesterday served the first of his four-game ban after deciding not to appeal his FA punishment for shouting racist words at Anton Ferdinand.
Kalou told the Sunday Mirror: "I never asked JT 'Why did you say that?'. I judged him for how he acted with me. He was always there for me. I don't know why he said what he did, but what I can say is that it's just maybe a wrong word to say. Does that make him a racist? Personally, I don't think I have experienced that feeling with him. I never suffered any racist abuse in England. In Holland I did from some fans and that was hard. You try to distance yourself from that."
