Lille sports director Luis Campos admits he's flattered to be linked with a job at Manchester United.
A football director's role a role doesn't currently exist at United but it is believed Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing in the Portuguese.
The United boss, who first came across Campos while he was manager of Porto, hired him at Real Madrid eight years later.
Asked about the reports linking him to United, Campos told Yahoo: "Manchester United have not spoken to me about this position.
"But I'm very proud that my name is mentioned as one possibility because Manchester United have such a fantastic history in the world of football."
