French club Lille have revealed that Joe Cole could become a permanent member of the squad.
The 30-year old Liverpool midfielder is on a season-long loan at Stade Metropole but club president Michel Seydoux has indicated that he may not return to Liverpool if all goes well.
"It is not a certainty that he will leave us again at the end his contract," said Seydoux.
"If he has a certain good feeling with Lille and we can make him an interesting offer, then this is something that we will look into."
