Leyton Orient chief executive Danny Macklin insists League Two could still complete their campaign.

All 24 fourth-tier clubs will hold a conference call with the EFL on Tuesday, with many expected to push for an immediate end to the campaign amid fears they could go bust if the shutdown continues indefinitely.

Ending the season would have huge ramifications for the rest of the professional game and Macklin, whose 17th-placed side are neither in danger of relegation nor contention for the play-offs, believes it is still too early for a decision.

"We don't need to make an immediate decision – we need to be aware of all the ramifications of an early finish, of trying to wait and of playing behind-closed-doors," he told the London Evening Standard.

"I get the argument for trying to wait, I get the argument for trying to reach an immediate conclusion."

Macklin added: "Today is about fact-finding. It's very much sharing information, concerns we've got about moving the game and the leagues forward."
