Levy convinced Redknapp could reject England for new Spurs deal

Tottenham won't roll over and allow Harry Redknapp to take the England job without a fight. The Daily Mail says Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not let the manager who has taken the club to third in the Barclays Premier League to walk away without a fight. Levy will insist on substantial compensation from the FA.

Tottenham officials have held private discussions about the prospect of Redknapp replacing Fabio Capello, who quit as England manager on Wednesday.

However, there is no sense of resignation at Spurs that Redknapp will leave. There remains a hope that another crack at Champions League football next season could be enough to persuade Redknapp to stay - and even sign a new contract.
