Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner has addressed his players over their disappointing season.

The Daily Mail says Lerner has talked to Alex McLeish's squad at the club's Bodymoor Heath training base, giving Villa's players what he hopes will be a morale booster ahead of back-to-back home matches.

Villa have not won at home since November 5, when two Darren Bent goals earned them a 3-2 victory over Norwich.
