Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has confessed that his duration of stay at Stadium of Light will depend on his success in the job.
The former West Ham United and Newcastle United manager's initial goal would be to ensure the Premier League status of the Black Cats and from then his role will be more closely considered.
"I don't know how long I'll be here just yet," he said.
"It's a risk business. I've got an 18-month contract.
"It may be extended but that will only happen if I'm successful."
