Leicester City have an interest in signing Wesley Fofana from St. Etienne.
The 19-year-old has impressed scouts of many clubs, including AC Milan and Everton.
But the French club are not willing to sell the teenager for a modest fee.
They want £27 million, per the Daily Mail.
However, Leicester are not willing to pay that much for a player who is largely untested.
The Foxes do want to sign a center back, and boss Brendan Rodgers played midfielder Wilfried Ndidi in that position in a friendly on Saturday.
