Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez could miss Algeria's friendly with Tanzania due to a muscle problem.

The 26-year-old reportedly suffered the injury during Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final loss to Chelsea.

Algeria manager Rabah Madjer has confirmed Mahrez's problem.

"I sent Yacine Brahimi and Mahrez to the infirmary," he said. "We're monitoring them closely. They have a few niggles."

Although he is unlikely to face Tanzania on Thursday, Mahrez could return for Tuesday's clash with Iran.
