Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Season for 2015/16.

The Algerian winger won 44% of the vote which came from almost 250,000 votes on the Sky Sports poll.

Mahrez, who won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award, beat Arsenal's Mesut Ozil who attracted 39% of the vote.

Mahrez's Foxes teammate Jamie Vardy came in third on 8% while Tottenham striker Harry Kane gained 4% and West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet made up the top five on 3%.

The top six nominations, which also included Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, were chosen by an expert panel, which included Sky Sports pundits Paul Merson, Ian Holloway, Peter Beagrie and Mike Riley - general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials, and Malcolm Clarke - chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation.
