Leicester City star James Maddison has come to the defense of England captain and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The 27-year-old was criticized for his sluggish displays in the group stage matches for the Three Lions at Euro 2020.
However, Kane has come alive in the knockout stages, scoring once against Germany and twice against Ukraine to lead England to a semi final against Denmark at Wembley.
"Harry Kane… best centre forward in world football for me," Maddison posted on his official Twitter account.
"People tried to talk because he didn't score for a couple of games but goes back to that old saying, form is temporary but class is permanent."
