Leicester City plan talks with Aston Villa over on-loan striker Nathan Delfouneso.
The 21-year-old joined the Foxes on a one-month loan in January and his deal expires after Thursday's Championship game against local rivals Derby County.
"He might be disappointed with the game-time he has got, and Villa might too, but he has to realise the front two of Jermaine Beckford and David Nugent have been doing very well and we are reluctant to change it," said Shakespeare in the Leicester Mercury.
"We will speak to Villa in the next few days to see where they want to go with it."Assistant manager Craig Shakespeare confirmed Leicester will speak to Villa regarding the possibility of keeping the youngster at the club for a little longer.
