Leicester City winger James Maddison believes that his teammate Jamie Vardy is world class.

Vardy has been in scintillating form since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers at the club. He has managed seven goals in the past six club games.

And Maddison believes he should be recognised among the top strikers in the world.

"He's been back amongst the goals for about seven weeks," said Maddison to reporters.

"I don't know how many goals he's scored since the new gaffer has come in, but he's a pleasure to play with. He's brilliant.

"He's a world class striker. He makes mine and Youri's (Tielemans) life easy.

"His movement is unbelievable, little bits of movement that people don't always pick up on but he's a pleasure to play with and he's a world class finisher.

"We've got a good relationship. We feed off it and we have a good relationship off the pitch as well which is important.

"We're constantly talking. He's a top guy as well so hopefully we can keep kicking on with it."
