Leicester go for Ipswich striker McGoldrick

Leicester City are moving for Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick.

The Mirror says Leicester are set to sign Ipswich Town striker McGoldrick in an £8m deal.

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy has admitted it could be hard for the club to deny McGoldrick a move to the King Power Stadium side to play in the Premier League for the first time in his career, but that a final decision will rest with the club's owner, Marcus Evans.

McCarthy said: "I'll let market forces dictate and see what Leicester have to say. I'll be leaving it to Marcus but he's a quality player and he will cost big money. But I'm of a mind that we need everyone 100 per cent physically and mentally."
