Leicester City fans are celebrating James Maddison after his role in Mohamed Salah's failed penalty in victory over Liverpool last night.
Salah was awarded a first-half spot kick at the King Power Stadium when Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi felled the Egyptian in the area.
The Reds forward has a stunning record from 12 yards, having missed just two of 20 for Liverpool.
But he saw Kasper Schmeichel deny him another goal, before his rebounded header clipped the bar and was cleared away.
The Mirror reports upon inspection of the replay, Maddison's role in the miss became clear, showing him speaking into the ear of the Liverpool star as he waited for the go-ahead from the referee.
Maddison then took up residence directly behind Salah, standing in the middle of the D as he began his run up from a central position.
Fans on social media claimed the Leicester playmaker had 'psyched out' his Liverpool counterpart, putting doubt into his mind at the worst possible time.
