Leicester defender Souttar laments 'really disappointing start' for Man City defeat

Leicester City defender Harry Souttar concedes they weren't good enough for defeat at Manchester City.

John Stones and an Erling Haaland double had City 3-0 ahead before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for the visitors.

Souttar said: "It was a really disappointing start to the game. To be three goals down so soon wasn't what we expected. We looked a good team in spells in the second half but you cant come hear and concede three and expect to get anything from the game.

"We got into half-time at 3-0 down and last time we were 4-0 down and got it back to 4-3. We had previous here and tried to use that but we couldn't do it in the end.

"You have to find positives in the performance We are disappointed in the nature of the goals and we will look at them but we've got to stick together and be together. The fans were still cheering us. If we stick together we will be fine."

On new manager Dean Smith, he added: "The old manager brought me in on the last day of the window. I can't thank him enough for bringing me to the club. I think the tempo has gone up in training, like it does at any club when there's a new manager."
