Leicester City's head of recruitment Lee Congerton has revealed Liverpool have bid for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Congerton has claimed the Reds have bid £22m for the shot-stopper.

The Foxes are also believed to be tracking the 23-year-old and Congerton referenced the Reds when speaking about their interest to local Trabzon newspaper Karadeniz Gaztesi

He said, "He is one of the best goalkeepers [Cakir] I have seen in my life.

"I was wondering who the goalkeeper was that Liverpool offered £22 [€25m] million."
