Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare has claimed that winger Demarai Gray is set to sign a new deal with the club in the next 24-48 hours.

The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from multiple clubs during the summer, and he was keen on leaving the Foxes in the summer. However, it appears that the Foxes have tied down the talented youngster to a new long-term deal.

Shakespeare said: "I'm hopeful that will be concluded very soon. I'm hoping (it'll be done) within the next 24-48 hours."

"He's one that we want to improve with us and it shows our stance that we want to keep our best players."
