Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers insists Youri Tielemans could yet stay.
The Belgium international is off contract at the end of the season.
Rodgers said: "His commitment is no less now compared to when I first came in – if not even more. He has loved his time here and still loves his time here. I respect that he is in his last year, of course I want to secure him.
"He has been a brilliant player for this club and is still of a fantastic age. It's something that must be right for all parties.
"Until I find out that he is not here we work very well together. He is a coach's dream, with his professionalism and view of the game. Nothing changes for me in that aspect, hopefully we will find a solution to it and that he will extend. We want to do everything we can to convince him to stay."
