Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is delighted with his early impressions of Wesley Fofana.

The former St Etienne defender featured in defeat to Aston Villa last weekend.

Rodgers said, "I found him remarkable and our supporters will be very happy to see him at work again. Whether he's playing in a two-centre-back or a three-way defence, he has enormous potential.

"For a defender, who is also young, his anticipation is so good, he reads the game so well. He puts such aggressiveness in his jumps. It's something you need when you're a defender in the Premier League. He will become a great player in the future.

"I was disappointed for him that there was not the result at the end but his performance is hopeful."
