Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is delighted with the early season form of James Maddison and Caglar Soyuncu.

Rodgers says Soyuncu is exactly what Leicester needed to fill the boots of Harry Maguire.

He said: "When you work closely with him, you see his quality. He had big boots to fill and he's been very, very good in both games.

"For a modern-day centre-back, he's exactly what you want."

And Rodgers expects Maddison to be called up to the England squad.

He said: "He's got such a brilliant football brain. Technically he's at a very high level. He finds space and can manipulate the ball and create chances for other players.

"He's very much a team player and he's a real joy to work with."
