Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva's move to Inter Milan has stalled.
The Brazilian has been granted permission to hold talks with Inter about a loan deal this month.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport says Lucas has seen himself shunted to third choice by Inter chiefs.
The Nerazzurro are now in talks with the agents for VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo, while there's also hope of landing Atalanta's Roberto Gagliardini.
Lucas is now viewed strictly as a fall back option, which could open the door to Leicester City, where their football chief Eduardo Macia is a fan.
