Leicester to again make bid for Rangers’ Jelavic
Leicester City are set to make another bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic according to reports.
The English Championship club offered £6.5million for the Croatian in August, which was rejected by the reigning Scottish champions, but it is believed the Foxes will up the ante to £7.5m in January.
Leicester’s ambitious Thai owners are keen to give new boss Nigel Pearson something to work with for the second part of the season after a less-than-impressive beginning to the campaign under Sven-Goran Eriksson who departed the club by mutual consent at the end of October.
Jelavic has scored 30 goals in 40 starts in all competitions for ‘Gers since his £4m move from Rapid Vienna in August 2010.

Come on Gregg. Get your head out of the clouds. This Rangers team is full of International players, including the Captain of the USA (signed from a Ligue 1 team in France)and Romania (signed from Palermo in Seria A). We have top quality players such as Steven Davis, Steven Naismith, Allan McGregor (Scotland No.1) and Nikica Jelavic. We play in Europe (almost) every year and have players in the squad who've played in a European final. Fact. Rangers are still very much a good side. With the players I've mentioned we would be a more than a match for any Championship side.
Leicester would beat the current Rangers team easily. No comparison between the SPL and the English championship. I can say that having spent decades in England and now back again in Scotland. Rangers supporters are totally deluded if they think their current side has much ability.
