Leicester accept Spurs offer for Maddison as contract settled

Leicester City have accepted a bid from Tottenham for James Maddison.

Maddison has agreed personal terms with Spurs over a deal worth £170,000-a-week.

And there is now verbal agreement between the two clubs over a £40m fee for the England midfielder.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: "Tottenham have now verbal agreement in place with Leicester to sign James Maddison, here we go!

"Next steps: medical tests, documents being prepared and then signed."

It's suggested the fee will rise to £45m depending on bonuses.
