Leeds winger Summerville accepts Marsch criticism over 'professionalism, hunger and discipline'

Leeds United winger Crysensio Summerville accepts manager Jesse Marsch's criticism.

After proving the matchwinner at Liverpool, the Leeds boss told the youngster he was going to be keeping a close eye on him to ensure his standards did not slip.

Marsch later explained to the media that Summerville's "professionalism, hunger and discipline" have not "developed" in the way he wanted, admitting there have been issues with his timekeeping and his focus in team meetings.

"He wants to keep me sharp, to keep going," admits Summerville to the Daily Mail. "I am young and still learning, but I have to keep in check with the older players. He is watching me.

"He is busy with the young players. He always told me if you work hard for me, I'll work hard for you to get you in the team, so that's what I'm doing. Even when you are young, you have to deliver in every training session to show the coach what you can do. If you work hard here, then you get a chance. You have seen it with Willy (Gnonto), Joffy (Joe Gelhardt) and Sam Greenwood."
