Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has revealed that the club made enquiries to sign Arsenal starlet Serge Gnabry on loan.
The 18-year old German forward had emerged as a temporary target for the Whites but is unlikely to be let go by Arsene Wenger after scoring the opening goal in the weekend's 2-1 win over Swansea City.
McDermott told Leeds' Twitter page that he did ask about Gnabry but to no avail.
BMD: "I made an enquiry for a couple of players at Arsenal - Gnabry was one of them. I wouldn't think they will let him out now." #lufc — LUFC Official (@LUFC) September 30, 2013
