Leeds sign Miller with Bowyer endorsement

Leeds United have secured the signature of Birmingham star Amari Miller.

The 18-year-old has signed for an undisclosed fee for the Whites, with the winger having broken into the Birmingham first team towards the end of last season.

The teenager played under former Leeds midfielder Lee Bowyer at Birmingham, managing five appearances for the club.

LeedsLive claims that Miller will initially play for Leeds' Under-23 side before he is possibly promoted to join the first team.

When asked about Miller last season, Leeds legend Bowyer said: "Goals, assists, pace, something that we probably lack a bit is pace.

"He's at that age where he is fearless. When he came on against Stoke, he got himself into an area and wasn't afraid to go at the defender.

"I think he will be a good player. He just needs to keep working hard. Hopefully, this taste that he's having will drive him on for next season. Maybe he will play again this season.

"I like him as a person, his manners and he's respectful. The senior players love him as well.

"He's going to make mistakes, but he keeps going. He's fitted into the group well."
