Leeds United are keen on Stoke City midfielder Danny Pugh.
Potters boss Tony Pulis has confirmed Pugh is available for loan when the window opens later this week.
Whites boss Simon Grayson is a big fan of the former Manchester United youngster and is weighing up a temporary swoop for a player who can also operate at left-back.
Pugh previously made over 50 appearances during two years at Leeds before leaving for Preston in 2006.
