Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is ready to step up plans to land Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood.
The Sun says Grayson has targeted Harewood as a short-term replacement for Jermaine Beckford.
Grayson is resigned to losing his star striker but a six-month loan deal for Harewood, 30, depends on Villa paying half his £30,000-a-week wages.
But his former club West Ham and Hull are also in the hunt.
