Leeds' Kisnorbo back in action after injury lay-off

Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo is back in action after missing the six matches with injury.

The former Leicester City skipper has been in stellar form for the Whites this season but was forced out of the game in the past month or so because of an Achilles problem.

However, he has completed a successful return, playing the last two matches with Leeds and believes he is almost back to full fitness.

"It was frustrating being out because we lost to Spurs in the FA Cup while I was injured and the boys have probably not got the results they were looking for since then, so being back is a huge boost," he told The World Game.

"There's a little bit of tenderness still there but once I'm warmed up it's okay."

As for the team, Kisnorbo plans to help Leeds push back to the top of the League One table with the goal of winning promotion back to the Championship and is focusing more on that than thinking of his chances of making Australia's World Cup squad.

"We're looking to step things up now and get ourselves back to the top of the table," he added.

"To be honest, I'm concentrating more in winning promotion than thinking about the World Cup right now.

"I know if I'm playing regularly then I'll be in consideration for South Africa. It's been a good move for me (from Leicester City) and I'm loving playing again."
