Leeds United's Illan Meslier has spoken about his disappointment at the club going down.

The young shot stopper was unable to help his team avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Meslier, who even lost his place in the team at the late stage of the campaign, hopes they can redeem themselves in the Championship in 2023-2024.

Speaking to RMC Sport, he stated: "We are disappointed. Going down to the Championship... there is a feeling of regret, of disappointment.

"Unfortunately, it's the law of sport. Personally, there are good things, not so good.

“We can't go back, but we necessarily think about what happened because normally, we can't get into this kind of situation."
