Leeds goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel returns to training after six months

Leeds United goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel has returned to training six months after being involved in a car crash while away with Holland U19.

Van den Heuvel suffered what Whites boss Jesse Marsch described back in August as "a pretty severe neck injury" in the crash, with the 19-year-old breaking some vertebrae in the process.

After six months out recovering and rehabilitating following the crash, the Leeds youngster is finally back on the training pitch.

Taking to Instagram, van den Heuvel wrote: "The last 6 months I have been working on my recovery due to a car accident. Now I'm back and I feel stronger than ever.

"It feels good to be back on the pitch and train with the boys again. Thanks to all the people that have been helping me the last 6 months!"
