Leeds United are eyeing Newcastle United midfielder Mo Diame.

The 31-year-old's future is up in the air.

He needs to start the next two games to trigger a contract extension clause of one-year but it's understood that the midfielder would like a two-year-deal.

Diame has openly stated his frustration at the situation telling Chronicle Live: "We know what they want for this club; it's difficult to get an extension when you are over 30 here."

Leeds sources say the promotion hopefuls are eyeing the midfielder.
