Leeds, Everton target Gyokeres talks up Coventry stay

Viktor Gyokeres insists he's happy at Coventry City.

There have been rumours of interest from Leeds ahead of the summer transfer window, while Everton and Fulham were interested in the Swede last month.

In an interview with TuttoSvenskan, the 24-year-old addressed the rumours.

"It wasn't that close because the club and the coaches said before the window opened that they wouldn't sell me no matter what. Whatever money came in or which club bid. They wanted to keep me for the rest of the season anyway, then you can take it from there," he said.

"There was no talk of the matter from their side and then I felt that they wanted to stay here (in Coventry) and do a good whole season instead of causing a bit of chaos and trying to get out of here. I enjoy it very much here and I get to play a lot. It wasn't worth it."
